Transportation Automation Analyst

Key Role:

Provide technical, business, and policy analysis support for projects related to emerging technologies, including unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), urban air mobility (UAM), and blockchain with clients. Synthesize UAS and UAM technical resources, including literature and expert interviews and produce client recommendations related to safety, integration, economic impact, and stakeholder engagement. Support project managers as a task lead to accomplish task deliverables within budget and expected timelines.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with automation in the industry

-Experience with developing and enhancing programs to achieve mission and goals

-Experience with tracking performance, including metrics evaluation, monitoring, and reporting

-Experience with developing strategic and analytical deliverables, including data analysis, dashboards, gap analyses, or process documentation

-Ability to write draft reports and develop presentation materials with little to no need for further editing and revisions

-Ability to present project results to automation experts in major conferences and meetings

-Ability to build strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with automation-related industries, major research efforts, upcoming US federal government policies, and technological developments

-Experience with software programming, including in C++, R, or SQL

-Ability to be a self-starter and take responsibility for project tasks from planning to completion

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent problem-solving and program or project management skills

-BA or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field preferred; or MA or MS degree in Business, Policy, or related field a plus
