User Researcher

Key Role:

Plan and conduct primary and secondary research across all phases of the product development lifecycle and uncover stories and user-centric insights that help guide design and inform product strategy. Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of UX designers, product managers, and technologists to explore, create, and refine ways in which users interact with products. Advocate research findings to stakeholders through written reports, visualization tools, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a hands on researcher conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies and proposing creative solutions
  • Experience with a broad range of research methodologies, including ethnographic research, interviews, surveys, diary studies, card sorting, tree tests, and usability testing
  • Ability to synthesize research findings and translate into concise, relevant, and actionable insights for presentations to stakeholders through storytelling
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent analytical, presentation, and client-interfacing skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • MA or MS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, or equivalent behavioral sciences field preferred; PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, or equivalent behavioral sciences field a plus
