CAD Engineer

Key Role:

Utilize a breadth of mechanical engineering knowledge to support two manufacturing sites specializing in ASME nuclear, non-nuclear, Department of Energy (DoE) and Department of Defense (DoD) steel fabrications. Maintain responsibility for the maintenance of existing product lines as well as engineering and reverse engineering of application specific products to support customer requirements and fulfillments of sales orders. Fulfill all elements required for the engineering, design, and manufacturing of existing and application specific products, including stress analysis, design documentation, design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA), work instructions, welding, and fabrication procedures as applicable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with recovery of design characteristics for Reverse Engineering of ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts

  • Ability to support quality inspections and determine causes of reject parts and their disposition

  • Ability to develop and coordinate capital projects as required and participate in project teams to ensure that new products meet specification requirements, quality and reliability

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree in Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • Secret clearance

  • MA or MS degree
