Key Role:

Provide skilled technical assistance in the development, assessment, configuration, and management of data-centric information technology (IT) assets in an agile team-oriented work environment. Convert complex data sets into useful visualizations with dashboarding technologies such as Qlik. Establish and enforce processes to ensure a consistent, well-managed, and well-integrated application and data infrastructure. Analyze existing business intelligence implementations, extract data ingestion requirements and data transformation business rules, and translate business rules and processing logic into requirements that can be used to migrate and implement equivalent functionality in new data analytics platforms. Implement data pipelines to support data analytics environments, including data ingestion, data transformation, and data curation. Recommend application enhancements that improve reliability and performance of the application.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Visualization role

• Experience with data visualization tools, including Qlik, Tableau, or PowerBI

• Ability to identify data processing business rules from existing programs, scripts, and applications

• Ability to communicate and coordinate with architects, engineers, and analysts to ensure efficient operations

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with AF Logistics systems

• Experience with design, development, or maintenance of data pipelines including data ingestion, data transformation, or data curation

• Experience with relational database design, development, or maintenance, SQL, and stored procedures and scripts

• Experience with Business Objects

• Experience with Teradata

• Experience with Informatica ETL tools

• Experience with Collibra, Streamsets, Trifacta or similar tools

• Experience with business intelligence and data warehouse implementations

• Knowledge of application development tools, including Adobe Flex, Java, HTML5

• Knowledge of LIMS-EV data sets and functionality

• Ability to interpret existing data pipeline implementations and translate into usable requirements for other data engineers

• Secret clearance

• Security+ Certification
