F-35 Radar Engineer

Key Role:

Research, design, develop, and test structures, propulsion units, and guidance and control subsystems for aircraft, missiles, or spacecraft. Analyze aerospace product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods. Evaluate new technologies for application in improving design of aerospace systems. Plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate testing of aerospace systems. Perform risk assessment of aerospace systems and generates risk mitigation plans and strategies. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in an aviation systems or avionics engineering role
  • 5+ years of experience with acquisition program support applicable to Radar, Weapons System, EW, CNI, Sensor Fusion, or Advanced Processing Project Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience withsupporting DoD classified programs and DoD ACAT-II
  • Experience with requirements management and tracking
  • Experience with using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, requirements development, and technology transition or insertion planning
  • Secret clearance
  • BS degree in Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
