Fires Live, Virtual and Constructive Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Provide Ground Combat Element (GCE) and Fires Live Virtual Constructive Training Environment (LVC-TE) subject matter expertise to our government client to improve their ability to integrate LVC-TE capabilities into Marine Corps air-ground training. Assist the client by providing expertise in scenario design, exercise control, and fires planning, while also developing products to facilitate the accomplishment of the client’s training objectives, such as simulation scenarios, and event simulation plans. During exercises, conduct simulation and exercise control activities to enable the client to focus on training rather than managing systems. Support the client in planning and executing the technical integration of simulation systems, C4I systems, and training sites to maximize training value across the unit. Analyze existing and emerging live, virtual, and constructive simulations, simulators, and training devices available to the client to enhance their training. Attend planning conferences to provide the client with analysis and recommendations on resources available to facilitate their training needs. Collect and analyze training data to inform future events. Participate in Course Content Review Boards and provide recommendations for the integration of LVC-TE capabilities into the various Programs of Instruction. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in the Marine Corps with operational and the GCE
  • Experience as a Joint Forward Observer (JFO) or Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
  • Experience in a Battalion or higher Fire Support Coordination Center or Fire Direction Center
  • Experience with using Virtual Battlespace 3 (VBS 3) for fires training
  • Knowledge of regarding the use of Combined Arms Command and Control Upgrade System (CACCTUS) in support of unit training objectives
  • Knowledge of current and emerging C4I systems, including Target Handoff System v2 (THSv2), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Marine Common Handheld (MCH), and the Marine Air Ground Tablet (MAGTAB)
  • Knowledge of Marine fire support planning, coordination and execution
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Network + Certification
  • Weapons and Tactics Instructor Certification
