Key Role:
Help oversee the security and design aspects of multiple communications networks to support mission-critical operations for our digital engineering and DevSecOps Extended Enterprise Environments. Bridge the gap between mission-driven requirements and security best practices. Use the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and controls established within the NIST SP 800-171 series for non-federal systems to work with our team to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to fulfill the needs and goals of our client delivery teams, as well as develop security plans that will enable secure and effective solutions that manage risk to the enterprise. Employ traditional security tools and investigate new techniques to enable industry innovation while maintaining compliance with emergent Department of Defense security regulations, such as the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Take a critical approach to network design, provide secure alternatives, and customize solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. Manage the security needs of systems assigned and connected to our manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and systems integration networks supporting national defense missions.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience leading and implementing the Assessment and Authorization process under NIST Risk Management Framework for new and existing information systems and directly writing control implementation statements into a system security plan (SSP) following NIST standards for federal or non-federal systems
3+ years of experience reviewing assessment reports and assisting projects in identifying security risks, including technical and non-technical, and developing effective mitigation strategies, including Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and ensuring teams meet milestone dates by leveraging a culture of accountability
3+ years of experience with government compliance, certification, and accreditation processes, including frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD standards
3+ years of experience managing authorization packages and workflows in automated GRC tools such as Archer, eMASS, or Xacta
Experience with computer industry security, identity, and access management and with leading security initiatives and teams in complex project environments
Knowledge of supporting the development or modification of System Security Plans, security requirements, and supporting documentation for the Assessment and Authorization process
Ability to ensure all products and administrative documentation is completed and maintained, including for continuity and historical reference and design, develop, and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification, including CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working as a systems administrator or Information Systems Security Engineer on networks with complex architectures
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure and their respective security tools and best practices
Knowledge of network architecture, data protection, and application security
Knowledge of secure System or Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Cyber Resiliency
Knowledge of the Internet of Things (IoT), Operations Technology (OT), or Industrial Control security implementations
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Cloud Security Certifications, including CCSP, CCP, or CCSK Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
