Job Description
The Opportunity:
Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to system architecture, but you know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to lead the design and building of secure systems for the federal government?
We’re looking for a Splunk Engineer who can create solutions for our customers that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats. As a Splunk Engineer on our project, you’ll work to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate our customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
2+ years of experience with Splunk engineering, administration, deployment, and maintenance for a large-scale network environment
2+ years of experience creating and maintaining Splunk dashboards
Experience in engaging clients and stakeholders to understand their problems, recommending solutions, and interacting with customers to provide configuration and optimization guidance in Splunk
Experience with bash and PowerShell to automate tasks and manipulate data
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III certification within 30 days of hire
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud platform
Experience with network security, system security, and supporting security information and event management (SIEM)
Experience with security tools, including Firewall, IDS, Active Directory, Tenable Security Center, HBSS or Trellix, and RedSeal
Knowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology logging, and Splunk SPL, REGEX, and custom query and search design
Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering preferred
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
