The Opportunity:

To achieve an organization’s mission, leaders need strong team members who can facilitate travel management, provide guidance on travel policies and procedures, comply with federal travel regulations, utilize and assist others in travel management systems, identify travel violations and discrepancies, and communicate travel requirements with internal stakeholders. Whether it’s helping clients book travel, processing vouchers, or tracking client travel reimbursements, our clients need a consultant who can help process travel while also staying updated on any travel policies and federal regulations. That is why we need you, an experienced travel specialist who can support client travel and educate clients on travel policies, guidelines, and regulations while proficiently administrating travel management systems and ensuring a smooth travel process.   

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You’ll work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. You’ll leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. You’ll maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assist with the management of current programs, and facilitate commercialization of successfully developed technologies. 

You'll serve as a travel specialist, helping clients book travel, processing vouches and travel expenses, and ensure compliance with federal travel regulations. You will be responsible for utilizing travel management systems, educating clients on travel processes, identifying travel violations and discrepancies, and ensuring client vouchers and expenses are processed in a timely manner. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving skills will enable the mission's success. This position is a hybrid role with Booz Allen. The candidate is expected to work onsite at a Booz Allen or client facility 20-50% of the time, as needed.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Provide guidance and educate stakeholders on federal travel policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance.

  • Assist stakeholders with booking travel and travel arrangements.

  • Utilize agency’s travel management systems and aid stakeholders with how to navigate the system.

  • Assist with the completion and processing of vouchers and ensure all required information and documentation are included.

  • Identify and resolve any travel related issues, errors, discrepancies, or policy violations and work with stakeholders to correct these issues.

  • Ensure travel expenses are reimbursed to stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Stay informed of any new federal travel policies and communication any changes to stakeholders.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience facilitating federal travel

  • Experience with Concur Domestic Travel System (Concur Government Edition)

  • Experience providing administrative leadership support

  • Experience with travel coordination for the U.S. government

  • Experience with coordination for stakeholder travel bookings, vouchers, and expense reimbursement  

  • Experience interacting and communicating with internal stakeholders

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Associate’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $42,600.00 to $87,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
