The Opportunity:
As an Enterprise Cybersecurity Data Scientist on our team, you will transform complex, multi‑source data into actionable insights that drive mission‑critical decision making. You will work closely with stakeholders to explore, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data and develop high‑quality ETL pipelines. You will leverage SQL, Python, R, and Databricks to create scalable, reproducible solutions, ensuring accuracy, performance, and data integrity at every step. In this role, you’ll blend technical expertise, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to elevate our analytic capabilities and deliver measurable impact across the cybersecurity missions. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You’ll Work On:
Design and maintain robust ETL pipelines, including API integrations and multi‑format data processing, to ensure high‑quality, reliable data for analysis.
Develop analytical workflows using Python, SQL, or R to explore data, build predictive insights, and craft compelling data‑driven stories for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Apply clean coding practices, version control, and Databricks workflows to create scalable, well‑documented, and reproducible analytic solutions.
Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to define requirements, validate data, refine analytic approaches, and elevate team capability through continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

You Have:
3+ years of experience in data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or data mining, including work with both structured and unstructured data
3+ years of experience using advanced analytical methods, storytelling methods, and data visualization tools to develop data-driven narratives
3+ years of experience working with SQL, Python, or R languages
3+ years of experience building or operating ETL pipelines such as ingest, transform, and load, including API integration and data manipulation across multiple file types such as JSON, XML, or geospatial formats
Experience managing version control, including Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket, and with CI/CD
Experience using or managing a Databricks environment
Ability to demonstrate clean coding habits and focus on quality
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to be self-motivated
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics and 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or data science in a professional work environment, or 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or data science in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including natural language processing, machine learning, random forest, clustering, and optimization
Knowledge of cybersecurity domain
Ability to build dashboards and visual analytics in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Kibana, Qlik, or code‑based libs such as seaborn, Plotly, or ggplot2
Ability to pay strict attention to detail
Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, including for presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
