Enterprise Data Management, Senior Manager

Key Role: 

Lead the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) and drive execution of the enterprise data strategy, ensuring data quality and enabling the business through governance. Work across Enterprise Operations (EO) functions and with business leaders to optimize the enterprise data footprint and reduce risk. Lead the Office of the CDO team in managing and operationalizing the enterprise data strategy to include inventory, and the use and disposal of corporate, user, and client delivery data and information. Design and execute the company's enterprise data management roadmap, driving outcomes for data governance, data quality, data protection, and data architecture. Drive data governance across all enterprise components to ensure quality and data protection in coordination with the Chief Information and Data Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. Align data policy, practices, and management with relevant regulatory, legal, and ethical mandates, including emerging AI-related regulations and standards. Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish a strong data-driven approach to decision-making across the organization. Prioritize data quality initiatives that ensure accurate business outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data management
  • Experience with both traditional data technologies, including relational databases and data warehouse, as well as modern technologies, including data lake, data fabric, and data mesh, to support the execution of a data management strategy
  • Experience with data security, privacy, and compliance with data protection requirements and regulations 
  • Knowledge of data management principles, best practices, and industry standards 
  • Knowledge of data governance, data architecture, and data quality 
  • Ability to communicate well, collaborate within the team and with stakeholders across the enterprise, and disseminate technical and programmatic information as appropriate in support of critical operational and business needs
  • Ability to lead and mature data management programs, and work as a strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to data management 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business needs 
  • Ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders across various teams and levels of the organization 
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of experience in data management
  • Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and negotiate and respond accordingly to drive closure 
  • Ability to take unpopular positions when necessary, influence others to support these decisions, and maintain trust and credibility 
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking and thought leadership skills
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Possession of excellent adaptable and prioritization skills, including being capable of managing competing demands and deadlines with ease 
  • Master's degree in CS, Information Management, or Business Analytics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $122,200.00 to $227,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
