Atlassian Systems Administrator

Key Role:

Manage and configure Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, to support our project management and collaboration needs across both Cloud and Data Center environments. Administer and manage the Atlassian product suite, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Configure, maintain, and upgrade Jira and Confluence instances. Develop and manage complex Jira workflows, project configurations, and schemes. Provide user management and support for Atlassian products, including training and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Atlassian products and integrations. Implement best practices for system maintenance and configuration. Evaluate new capabilities and integrations with Atlassian products. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Atlassian Systems Administrator
  • Experience with Jira workflow configuration and scheme management
  • Knowledge of Atlassian products, including Jira software and Jira Service Management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in a CS or IT field and 5+ years of experience as an Atlassian Systems Administrator, or 10+ years of experience as an Atlassian Systems Administrator in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL database administration
  • Experience working in Agile teams such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience working with both Data Center and Cloud implementations of Atlassian products
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
