Job Description
Key Role:
Write and edit technical documentation, user manuals, and sales and training literature. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience developing, editing, and managing technical documentation within the DoD
Experience producing and maintaining documentation such as CONOPS, SOPs, RMF artifacts, and technical manuals
Experience using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint
Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT terminology to support cyber programs
Ability to organize complex technical information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate content
Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure clarity and accuracy in deliverables
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD 8140 Level II Certification such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or a DoD Cyber Workforce Framework Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Experience supporting Air Force or DoD cyber operations or engineering documentation
Experience editing classified technical documentation for compliance with DoD standards and security markings
Experience with configuration management processes and version control systems such as Git, Jira, or Confluence
Knowledge of Agile documentation practices, including user stories and system release notes
Bachelor’s degree
Technical Communication Certification such as CPTC, STC, or SAFe Agile Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
