Data Scientist

Key Role:  

Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs. Identify, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems. Design data inventory, catalogue, storage, access, usage, integration, and management using different data regimes and digital systems. Design, develop, and execute solutions within a particular specialty such as science and technology, and lead others in support of intelligence organizations, missions, or processes. Apply specific functional knowledge, working knowledge, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:   

  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis, including managing, retrieving, processing, and optimizing data
  • Experience transforming and loading data in a variety of processors or applications
  • Experience with coding capabilities, including Java, Python, and capability assessment 
  • Experience with intelligence analysis tools and databases 
  • Experience interfacing between Microsoft, including SharePoint, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, InfoPath, Power Bl, and Visio
  • Experience with workflow automation, information systems, and applications development
  • Ability to manage research and coordination for long-term projects 
  • TS/SCI clearance 
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with the application of quantitative and qualitative analytic methods 
  • Knowledge of USEUCOM, DoD Combatant Command, or interagency operations 
  • Knowledge of DoD intelligence processes, activities, standards, and available analytic tools 
  • Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks 
  • Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions, and routinely test analytic rigor of analytic products 

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
