The Opportunity:
As a programmer, data scientist, and operations analyst, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, developing recommendations for a creative solution, and implementing the solution. We need an experienced analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our USCENTCOM team, you’ll provide applications programming, data science, and operations research capabilities on-site for a combatant command Operation Assessment Division to deliver solutions that matter and have significant impact.
You won’t go at it alone, you’ll work alongside a team of professionals to explore, design, develop, and apply a variety of programming, data collection, and decision analytics processes and applications, including the employment of mathematical, statistical, and other analytic methods. Once documented, you’ll develop automated applications, data visualizations, information displays, decision briefings, analytic papers, and facilitate client senior leadership decisions with analytic products.
In this role, you’ll use your passion for analytics to identify effective, efficient, and innovative technical solutions for meeting client data and automation requirements, including potential artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions. You will also build digital solutions using programming applications such as R, R/Shiny, and Python to digitalize and partially or fully automate data collection, analysis, and staff processes while accelerating the rate at which the client can execute tasks.
Use your programming, data science, and operations research knowledge to develop and implement solutions that advance the operational capacity of USCENTCOM and support key missions in support of national defense.

You Have:
- 12+ years of experience with data science or operations research
- 5+ years of experience with data science or operations research at a Combatant Command staff, Joint or Combined Command Headquarters, or Defense Department
- Knowledge of R, R-Shiny, Python, Python-Shiny, SQL/POSTRESQL, Microsoft Office applications, and Microsoft SharePoint
- Knowledge of MAVEN Smart Systems, Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE), Advana, AI, ML, Git, and Large Learning Models
- Ability to identify a problem or requirement, and then explore, design, develop, and apply programming, data collection, and decision analytics processes and applications, including the employment of analytic methods as a solution for the problem, such as mathematical and statistical
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master's degree in an operations research, data science, math, engineering, science, or computer science field
Nice If You Have:
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare correspondence, and make formal presentations at the 4-Star General Officer or Flag Officer level
- Knowledge of Joint Warfighting, Joint Planning, and Combatant Command functions
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
