As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization’s desired reputation. We’re looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to share your knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll use your skills and experience to design, develop, and produce a variety of internal communications and media that support the Intelligence Community.

As a communications specialist on our team, you’ll develop creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to advance client goals, facilitate organizational change, and encourage stakeholder acceptance of policies, processes, and initiatives.  

As a senior communications specialist, you will leverage creative thinking and a business-oriented mindset to devise impactful communications strategies that help your client achieve their goals. To implement those strategies, you'll craft compelling messages for your client and the client's workforce, including executive comms, workforce messages, short videos, podcast content, web copy, spotlight and other articles, and content for in-person events such as All Hands and Town Hall meetings. You'll collaborate with graphic designers and other creatives and draw upon your versatility as a communications professional to produce messages that accurately convey information in a compelling fashion, using basic principles of story-telling as your guide. You'll use your strategic thinking ability to anticipate your client's needs and take initiative.

You Have:   

  • 10+ years of experience with strategic communications

  • Knowledge of communications industry standards, trends, and best practices, as well as fundamental principles of story-telling

  • Ability to quickly establish relationships of trust with senior leaders, anticipate their needs, and take initiative

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience in the Intelligence Community

  • Experience using video and podcasts for messaging and engagement

  • Master's degree   

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
