Intelligence Planner, Senior

The Opportunity:

What if you could employ your intelligence expertise and knowledge to assist in the integration of Defense and National Intelligence support capabilities? As an intelligence planner, you will use your specialized regional and functional experience and your attention to detail to assist in the development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters. 

As an intelligence planner on our team, you’ll assist in developing campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Additionally, planners assist with intelligence operations feasibility assessments within the planning process. You’ll work as part of an intelligence planning team and ensure intelligence equities are integrated into strategic and operational-level military planning and execution. You will help document intelligence resourcing gaps and shortfalls and develops mitigation strategies, integrate intelligence products and services supporting the Joint Planning Process (JPP), and synchronize the intelligence cycle supporting collection, analysis, production, and targeting. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in intelligence planning 

  • 2+ years of experience at a Combatant Command or National-level Intelligence Agency  

  • Experience participating in joint working groups or forums and briefing senior defense and intelligence officials  

  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process and outputs, including JIPOE, Center of Gravity Analysis, Enemy Course of Actions, or Annex B  

  • Knowledge of IC-standard intelligence and production tools, databases, techniques, and platforms  

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • Bachelor’s degree  

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as an intelligence planner supporting joint command-level organizations 

  • Experience with translation

  • Ability to show a score of 3/3 or higher on the DLPT, ILR, or ODA or ACTFL Advanced Low an East Asian language 

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidently interfacing with leadership 

  • Master's degree 

  • DoD Intelligence Planning Course Certifications  

  • Completion of Joint Professional Military Education, including Phase I or II 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
