Job Description
Key Role:
Provide DoD integration of Joint Targeting Intelligence (JTI) subject matter expertise in support of a U.S. Command’s plans, programs, operations, actions, and activities, including crisis action planning, current operations, future operations, and deliberate plans. Identify associated capability gaps and help develop solutions through the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and other associated processes. Manage projects, synchronize efforts with a Targets and Fires Division, components, and combat support agencies for the integration of intelligence support to targeting capability gap solutions with operational requirements, and align collection management or orchestration to support targeting strategies and desired effects. Attend multiple meetings, working groups, and boards. Ensure efforts are fully coordinated with the JTI functional manager and broader Targets Division prior to implementation.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with upper-tier or lower-tier air and missile defense systems or Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) command and control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems
- 3+ years of experience with integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) plans and operations at the strategic, theater, or tactical level
- 3+ years of experience with JTI at the strategic, theater, or tactical level
- Experience with Joint or Combined Operational Planning with the Joint Staff, a U.S. Combatant Command, or U.S. Combatant Command component staff
- Knowledge of the Joint and Combined operational planning process, U.S. and foreign air and missile defense systems, integrated air and missile defense operations, and space-based IAMD capabilities
- Ability to gather data, conduct analysis, and write technical assessments and reports
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience developing strategic or theater-level IAMD defense designs, CONOPS, and threat assessments
- Experience with the JCIDS such as development of Integrated Priority List (IPL) and requirement validation through the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC)
- Experience providing support to a Command representing requirements, acquisition, or resourcing forums such as Functional Capability Boards (FCBs)
- Experience working with a Joint Staff and Joint IAMD Office (JIAMDO) regarding future capability requirements
- Experience with the Missile Defense Warfighter Involvement Process (WIP), military staffing procedures, and working at a military headquarters staff
- Ability to conduct analysis of emergent material capability solutions that may address U.S. Commands’ IPLs via the creation and staffing of requirements documents such as Joint Urgent Operational Needs (JUONs) or Joint Emergent Operational Needs (JEONs), in support of Battlespace Awareness (BA)
- Ability to support the development of BA Integrated Priority List (IPL) items and the Joint Staffs’ Capability Gap Assessment (CGA) process
- Ability to coordinate activities focused on requirements generation and capability development, including writing and editing capability requirements documents, and participating in requirements IPTs
- Master’s degree
- Requirement Manager Level B or C Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
