The Opportunity:

We are seeking technical individuals who will thrive by working in a collaborative work environment of small teams tackling the challenges of sustaining complex, space-based, telecommunication systems. The candidate will have a positive, tangible effect across all aspects of the space systems while improving overall combat readiness.
The ideal candidate will provide our clients with systems engineering advisory assistance, including daily engineering consultation in support of sustainment activities. They will support sustainment tasks through established space systems engineering processes and procedures for requirements development, technical solution generation and fielding to warfighters. The ideal candidate with evaluate and produce products of a technical nature using technical rigor, adequacy, completeness, and appropriate application of the specialty engineering disciplines as standard process. They will assist with technology readiness assessments and identify risks and issues with proposed technologies while collaborating with other teams. They will support waiver, deviation and deficiency reviews, system allocations, and compliance assessments. They will conduct system and enterprise level engineering analysis to identify sustainment problem areas and provide impact analysis, forecast potential failures, and present options with potential to mitigate these problems. They'll perform engineering analysis on organizational technical processes and suggest process improvements that increase efficiency or effectiveness of operations as required. They will also support formulation of relevant information of sustainment objectives and performs engineering analysis and system-level assessments for decision support at various meetings and sustainment forums.

You Have:
5+ years of experience working with military or DoD clients and managing professional relationships
5+ years of experience in architecture requirements, analysis, acquisitions, engineering, design, fielding, integration, verification, and analysis
4+ years of experience with systems engineering and systems integration
4+ years of experience engaging government customers to advance projects and initiatives at varying degrees of complexity through engineering management
Experience with requirements development and analysis, and the development of systems engineering-related documents including requirements and specifications, interface control documents, and validation and verification plans
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Project
Ability to demonstrate engineering principles and concepts
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Nice if you have:
6+ years of experience in a DoD program office working with DoD acquisition processes and compliance with government instructions
6+ years of experience working with strategic and tactical space systems
Knowledge of Digital Engineering (DE) or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) applications, such as SparxEA or Cameo
Knowledge of Agile software development processes and applications, such as Jira or Confluence
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a dynamic environment
Ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations, and options to the customer
Possession of clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills
Possession of high individual organizational skills, capable of handling multiple competing priorities
ASEP or CSEP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
