Cyber Warfare Range Engineer

Key Role:

Develop integrated software and hardware solutions on a variety of technology platforms. Work in a dynamic team to accomplish bleeding-edge work in offensive cyber curriculum and cyber exercise scenario development. Develop and provide innovative solutions to complex cyber risk problems. Conduct testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into systems and networks, develops exploits, and engineers attack methodologies. Translate the client’s emerging cyberspace training requirements into operationally relevant, virtual environments and scenarios to meet training objectives. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Travel in support of client requirements for offensive-focused cyber training exercises.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in Windows and Linux environments
  • 3+ years of experience with virtualized environments and network operations
  • 2+ years of experience with programming and scripting, including with Python, C, or C++
  • Knowledge of the US Special Operations Command enterprise and Special Operations Forces mission sets, capabilities, and disciplines
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with penetration or red team testing, vulnerability analysis, and incident response
  • Experience with intelligence support to cyber operations, including all-source processes, products, and SIGINT
  • Experience working with IoT devices, CAN bus, Modbus, and RF protocols
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
