Mission Systems Business Development Director

Key Role:

Serve as a mission focused thought leader to lead or develop mission systems for the Intelligence Community (IC). Develop and maintain client and industry relationships and manage and gain insights into mission needs. Partner with technical leadership and share insights for solution development. Interact directly with multiple senior-level leaders and coordinate all phases of strategy and business development and capture activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a prior leadership role at the SES-level leading critical missions and relationships in the IC
  • Experience briefing senior-level executives internally and externally in the government or industry
  • Experience with technical solutioning and managing systems development in the IC
  • Knowledge of mission systems, system integrations, C2, mission management, and TCPED
  • Knowledge of distributed networks for space communication, automated C2, and sense-making
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with acquisitions outside of Major System Acquisition (MSA), including ancillary or pathfinder payloads and software that require onboard processing development
  • Experience with AS&T’s innovation funds and experimental development of small SATS and onboard processing
  • Experience with IC enterprise-wide automated ground infrastructure network monitoring and cyber defense 
  • Experience with the integration of commercial collection into the government's architecture and ground segment
  • Experience with ground systems architectures, including Cloud and AI processing of collection data
  • Experience integrating AI/ML into IC and DoD mission systems
  • Knowledge of all areas of business development, including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits and demonstrations, customer relationship development, industry relationship development, written submissions such as market surveys, RFI responses, and support to proposals, and team leadership 
  • Ability to develop large contracts successfully, including single award greater than $150M opportunities in the IC
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, Mathematics, or Geospatial Intelligence

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $158,800.00 to $295,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
