Facilities Cost Estimator

Key Role: 

Serve as a facilities cost estimator in the public works branch, responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing short--, mid-, and long-range components of Strategic Basing Actions as part of larger USMC initiatives. Prepare and implement outline costs for facility activities as related to existing unit relocations and consolidations and new unit activations. Perform professional work concerned with costing of facility planning, identifying needs, resources, problems, and solutions, and assisting military and civilian leaders in making decisions on goals, policies, priorities, plans, programs, and methods of implementation designed to support the installation’s military mission. Evaluate cost of facilities requirements, subsequent planning, and execution of work, develop and maintain Unit Transition Movement and Unit Transition Project Trackers, preparation of project programming documents and site plans, and execute scheduled planning and coordination of all such planning actions with the appropriate installation stakeholders. Coordinate with the Public Works Branch staff to de-conflict project schedules, priorities, and requirements between Basing Action projects and installation support programs, such as infrastructure, resiliency, energy independence and resiliency, fuels, explosive safety planning, installation security, or quality of life initiatives.

  

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience with construction cost estimating 

  • Experience with performing market studies and systems or material availability and feasibility assessments 

  • Experience with performing cost analysis and comparisons 

  • Experience with using RS Means and other cost estimating software tools 

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree 

  

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Science, or Mathematics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
