Combat Systems Element Integration SME

The Opportunity:

As a Navy Combat Systems Element Integration SME, you’ll bring your technical and operational Navy expertise as you lead a team on projects for our Navy clients. You’ll act as Chief Engineer, providing technical guidance to the Government team to support the development, testing, certification, and integration of advanced Navy combat systems. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex interconnected software command and control (C2) systems. You’ll provide inputs and technical support on behalf of the Navy program office throughout all phases of the combat systems development lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, performance analysis, testing, systems of systems integration, sustainment, and logistics. You’ll work in a team environment with senior staff supporting combat systems development, acquisition, sustainment, logistics, and readiness assessments.

You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience working with U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps combat systems as a civilian, military personnel, or contractor  

  • Experience with Navy or USMC platforms, combat and networked systems, surface and air-launched weapons, C4I, Sensors, and EW systems

  • Experience with Joint Fires and Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2)

  • Experience as a key member on a multi-disciplinary team responsible for developing system requirements, engineering documents, and test plans, analyzing test and evaluation results, producing performance assessments, and verifying system, subsystem, and element suitability and interoperability

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics


Nice If You Have:  

  • 15+ years of experience in Combat Systems Integration and software development or engineering

  • Experience supporting Navy or USMC system or element certification, including developing test plans and reviewing objective quality evidence

  • Experience with Navy Interface systems such as Cooperative Engagement Capability or Tactical Digital Information Link (TADIL)

  • Experience with software engineering, including design, development, test, integration, or production of advanced software systems

  • Experience with NAVSEA and Naval Surface Warfare Center programs

  • Experience with TS/SCI and SAP programs

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition and logistics policies and procedures

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
