Booz Allen is seeking a thought leader to drive solution development and client delivery for high-performance computing. Your roles and responsibilities will balance specific client and internal needs related to the development of solutions and business. You will serve as a technical and managerial Project Lead to support client computational science, engineering, and high-performance computing programs, holding responsibility for all facility activities to ensure that customer goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames. You’ll plan and manage updates, upgrades, and O&M services for the clients’ supercomputing and artificial intelligence or machine learning infrastructure, providing the client’s research staff and their collaborators with access to mission-critical, computational research platforms and state-of-the-art post-processing and visualization capabilities. You’ll also be responsible for Scientific and Research LANs and supporting core and closet switches, PB-scale storage systems, advanced desktop computers, connections to research systems such as SCADA and LCS systems, and user support.
You’ll ensure equipment is maintained while providing infrastructure planning support to improve and develop new capability and capacity, including scheduling preventative maintenance, performing patching and upgrading of research software and systems, planning and implementing hardware or software refreshes or upgrades, and ensuring systems are prepared to enable disaster recovery if necessary. You’ll lead support to the client’s HPC refresh and coordinate work between our subcontractors, the federal client, site support personnel, and vendors performing logistical support for the physical changeout of the old HPC and installation of the new HPC. You’ll develop client offerings and comprehensive solutions in the HPC space and produce intellectual capital supportive of client engagement, sales, business development, and capture. You’ll hold core responsibilities for the development and execution of market entry and business expansion strategies, support sales activities throughout the sales cycle, and meet client service-level expectations by being physically present at client site as needed to respond to client needs.

You Have:
5+ years of experience as an applications engineer or solutions owner for high-performance computing
5+ years of experience as a field service engineer, assuring hardware performance and effectiveness
2+ years of experience delivering artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure in a production or testing environment
Experience with project management
Experience performing market research and data analysis
Ability to craft and present executive-level briefings
Ability to manage timelines, prioritize varying and conflicting client inputs, and build consensus through collaboration and influence rather than formal authority
Ability to independently engage internal subject matter experts across science and engineering disciplines to answer client research questions and craft recommendations
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
