The Opportunity:
As a Data Processing Technician, you will perform basic data processing tasks under supervision and with guidance. You’ll perform duties such as supporting basic data processing activities, performing routine data entry and verification tasks, assisting in organizing and cleaning datasets to meet mission requirements, and frequently collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and timely data processing as the mission evolves.
As a client-facing data analyst on our National Security team, you will collaborate closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs while wrangling from their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of the data, but you will also advise on industry standards and how to exploit the resources to positively impact our national security space mission.
How You’ll Contribute:
As a technician on our team, you will:
Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets.
Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
Apply collaboration skills and data analytics to simplify technical requirements and trends.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Apply data visualization through various presentation formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across the space mission.

You Have:
Experience performing basic data processing tasks with general supervision and guidance
Experience assisting in organizing and cleaning datasets to meet mission requirements
Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely data reporting
Ability to perform routine data entry and verification tasks
Ability to work a 24/7 shift rotation
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working at a ground system or with signals intelligence, or 4+ years of experience working at a ground station or with signals intelligence in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with data processing software and tools, including Excel, SQL, and data management systems
Experience analyzing and interpreting various data sets
Ability to pay strict attention to detail and accuracy in handling data
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions
Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
Possession of excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
