Defense Product Business Development Lead

Key Role:

Drive and grow the Defense business while leveraging expertise and key client relationships to assist with business development and market growth across the Digital Battlespace Platform (DBP). Assist with strategic capture and product efforts with teammates, vendors, and partners. Translate comprehension of current and future strategic, operational, and tactical challenges facing diverse Defense systems to business development initiatives. Serve as the primary representative of DBP products at events. Conduct and coordinate demonstrations of products and capabilities. Assist with building and representing a diverse team in creating, designing, and implementing agreements and arrangements, including mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and performance standards. Inspire, motivate, and develop a high-energy team to excel through transition and change.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with leadership, including leading cross-functional teams in at least one area of acquisition, engineering, analytics, or consulting

  • 5+ years of experience with individually leading teams in capture and proposal management activities

  • 5+ years of experience with sales or business development of digital commercial products and hardware 

  • Experience with DoD IT portfolio and business model

  • Experience in maintaining relationships with key decision makers and leaders from the DoD community  

  • Experience with managing capture and execution of business pipelines

  • Experience with program management of active contracts and opportunities

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Operational C2ISR and C5ISR

  • Experience with working to support and sustain C5ISR systems in a combat zone

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
