The Opportunity:
Are you excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by quantum information science? Are you fascinated by the possibilities presented by quantum computing and sensing advances? We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical and experimental skills to improve quantum computing, communications, and sensing capabilities for the U.S. Government.
You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support. You’ll mentor and learn from teammates, and shape research directions both with clients and through internal investments. Join us as we advance the state-of-the-art of quantum information science.

You Have:
- Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized projects
- Knowledge of a wide range of quantum computing hardware, control electronics, and environmental control requirements
- Ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience both in writing and verbally
- Ability to work collaboratively in a manner that leverages diverse backgrounds and expertise
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Materials Sciences and 9+ years of experience with quantum mechanics or quantum effects, Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Materials Sciences and 6+ years of experience with quantum mechanics or quantum effects, or Doctorate degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Materials Sciences and 4+ years of experience with quantum mechanics or quantum effects
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with programming languages like C++ and Python
- Experience with software version control and containerization
- Experience leading the development of technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams of scientists and engineers to execute against business plans, and managing associated resources such as hardware and funding

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
