Data Integration Developer

As a data integration developer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, Agile environment. If you’re looking for the chance to not just develop software, but to help create a system that will make a difference, we need you on our team. We’re looking for a developer like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production ready. This role is more than just coding. As a full stack developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience with IT 

  • 5+ years of experience with an object-oriented programming language 

  • 4+ years of experience working as part of an Agile software development team 

  • 2+ years of experience with Linux 

  • 2+ years of experience with Python 

  • Experience with analysis and integration of structured and unstructured data sets 

  • Experience with version control tools, including Git or Subversion 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with software engineering, or 5+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience developing Splunk queries and working with data models and the KV Store 

  • Experience with shell scripting 

  • Experience using Web APIs, including REST or SOAP 

  • Experience with SQL databases 

  • Experience working with distributed system architectures 

  • Experience with build automation and deployment tools, including Gradle, Maven, or Jenkins 

  • Experience with configuration management, including Ansible or Vagrant, or virtualization tools, including VirtualBox, VMware Player, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or Docker

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
