Construction Security Technician

Key Role:

Read and analyze designs and blueprints, recognize the architect’s intended use, and analyze designs and structural complexities intended to mask an ulterior purpose not wanted by the architect. Become knowledgeable of ICD-705 security procedures and the level of security required in various parts of each facility under construction or renovation. Communicate and write detailed reports and analyses of problems, findings, and security situations which require staff actions. Possess a high degree of individual initiative, have independent decision-making, and function with minimal supervision. Maintain detailed daily notes during tour of duty to be submitted to the Contractor’s Team Leader who will review them for accuracy and present them to the site security manager for review.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction security surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, or industrial security, including construction quality assurance or hands-on supervisory construction
  • 2+ years of experience providing construction services overseas for the DoD
  • Knowledge of technical surveillance countermeasures and construction principles
  • Ability to learn the principles of multiple construction disciplines, including Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Completion of Construction Surveillance Technician Certification Course

Additional Qualifications:

  • Completion of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Training

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
