Job Description
Key Role:
Analyze military strategies, plans, programs, and policies to provide recommendations for how to improve them. Author, assess, and examine strategic planning documents, implementation plans, operations orders, presentations, talking points, memorandums, and other correspondence. Conduct data analysis and strategy assessments associated with organizational tasks, acquisition initiatives, and technical solutions to support a DoD program. Develop and execute strategy and plan for gathering and analyzing data to drive meaningful results for the mission. Collect, collate, analyze programs, and operationalize data. Investigate data trends and anomalies from a vast set of data. Develop predictive tools and provide results of analyses by making recommendations to leadership and stakeholder community as to how the data can be used to make critical operational, policy, and financial decisions. Review and conduct gap analyses of identified operational capability gaps and functional shortfalls including manning and equipping of organizational needs. Conduct in-depth reviews, analyses, comparisons, and evaluations of issues balanced against the identified operational gaps and shortfalls of all stakeholders and the impacts of those needs. Integrate internal and external feedback into continuous process improvement. Identify and explain problematic issues and major areas of concern based on guidance and policies.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience working in a professional work environment
5+ years of experience in military operational planning for the DoD at a 2-star level command or higher, including Combatant Command, Joint Staff, Division, Corps, or Service Component
Experience with military operations planning and multidomain collaboration in support of largescale combat operations, exercise planning, and capability development, including supporting contingency planning and civilian protection
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently with minimal guidance
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Graduate of Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Intermediate Level Education (ILE)
Additional Qualifications:
Experience conducting research and analysis and contributing to the coordination of strategy or doctrine for military operations
Experience analyzing strategies and policies with a future focus that guides the activities of an organization and incorporates the vision and long-term goals of leadership
Experience leading meetings and developing presentations and briefings for use by senior leaders
Experience authoring clear, concise, and accurate documents and briefings for approval and presentation to senior leadership
Knowledge of DoD capability development and acquisition processes
Ability to develop background papers, talking points, reports, and briefings suitable for all levels of leadership
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Top Secret clearance
Master's degree
Graduate of a Senior Service College, such as War College
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
