The Opportunity:
As a Program Coordinator, you will work with teammates to provide program management support to senior-level program staff and their leadership with the client program in a variety of areas, including their participation in interagency and international activities, efforts to identify and report program results, and initiatives to document and improve program management processes. You will demonstrate maturity, the ability to work with diverse personalities in a small team environment, and an attention to detail with a problem-solving approach to work.
You will directly support the Program Manager by providing management and task execution support for the day-to-day activities, keeping the team and program elements organized.
What You’ll Work On:
- Conduct frequent analyses and assessments of program operations, provide recommendations for improved processes, and oversee implementation.
- Identify and provide connections of program elements to other earth science-related topics and issues.
- Enable coordination, cooperation, and progress among program elements and relevant division activities.
- Design and implement efficient and sustainable reporting methods to capture program activities.
- Develop material and effective methods to strengthen communication of program activities and impacts for internal and external audiences, including coordination with the communications team to showcase the application area’s successes externally through updates to the relevant webpages.
- Oversee and help manage a portion of the program's research portfolio.
- Represent the manager and the team at internal and external meetings and events.
- Contribute to international and interagency reports, meetings, and materials.

You Have:
- 2+ years of experience in a science-focused or federal agency office
- Experience effectively multitasking in a dynamic environment and supporting multiple senior scientists or program managers
- Experience effectively communicating with and supporting senior management and key stakeholders
- Experience synthesizing scientific and technical papers
- Experience with program or project management
- Ability to organize and facilitate meetings, including taking meeting notes and collecting action items
- Ability to use Microsoft programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience in strategic communications, program management, and disasters management
- Experience working in the fields of earth system science or climate change
- Ability to sensitively coordinate the work of people more senior and not under one’s own authority on behalf of the client
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy or an Earth science field preferred; Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or an Earth science field a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
