Security Cooperation Analyst

The Opportunity: 

As a Security Cooperation Analyst, you will bring consulting, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills to security cooperation efforts supporting the Department of Defense.

You will research and analyze security cooperation or related defense activities, project planning and implementation, materials to support ongoing projects, and interaction with U.S. and Partner Nation officials while working in direct support of DoD activities.

You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation related to security cooperation and specifically to Institutional Capacity Building efforts. You may be required to lead projects and supervise staff, develop internal capabilities, and contribute to business development.

You Have:  

  • Experience with supporting defense policy development, military strategy development, security cooperation planning, and implementation with a defense partner or allied nation

  • Knowledge of Title 10 and Title 22 security cooperation and security assistance programs, current DoD policy regarding security cooperation activities, the defense budget process, and project management methodologies and techniques

  • Ability to develop detailed and high-quality material to include research documents, memoranda, slide presentations

  • Ability to communicate clearly with senior U.S. government officials, senior Partner Nation officials, and staff with a broad range of backgrounds and functional areas of expertise

  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team of senior SMEs, or to lead a team of highly qualified and junior staff

  • Secret clearance

  • Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Strategic Studies, Organizational Psychology, or Business Management


Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience on staff or in a leadership position with a Geographic Combatant Command

  • Experience with senior-level policy development within the DoD

  • Knowledge of Combatant Command processes and approaches to security cooperation and the SSCI development process

  • Ability to lead teams of professionals from varied backgrounds to accomplish complex objectives

  • TS/SCI  clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
