Financial Systems Scrum Master

The Opportunity:

As a scrum master, you’re passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that’s developing and maintaining critical internal Booz Allen projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need an experienced scrum master like you to create solutions that’ll power Booz Allen to more efficient and higher levels of performance.

On our team, you’ll coach a development team to their highest performance level, while ensuring the scrum project is successfully progressed. You’ll ensure scrum principles and approaches are understood correctly by the team and key stakeholders. Using tools like Jira, you’ll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish better sprint planning, more efficient development delivery, sprint retrospectives and other Agile ceremonies.

In this role, you’ll directly impact Booz Allen's financial systems and operations. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in scrum software development, IT project management, and Booz Allen internal operations while successfully delivering project solutions that will drive Booz Allen forward to empower people to change the world.

You Have:  

  • 5 years of experience working or leading in an Agile development environment
  • Experience using data-driven decision-making tools like velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time
  • Experience in configuring and using Jira to manage Agile development projects, including generating and interpreting Agile reports and dashboards
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles, values, and frameworks
  • Knowledge of Agile ceremonies and artifacts
  • Ability to be a servant leader to guide teams, facilitate daily standups, lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Ability to work cross team and work effectively with finance clients
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with core financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Billing or Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Time Reporting
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint ERP software or the Integrify workflow development tool
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Certified Scrum Master or other Agile certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
