The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Software Engineer specializing in building agents and applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that automate tasks, provide intelligent responses, and enhance user experiences. In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to create robust and scalable applications. You will support a people service driven team develop data driven products, apply models, and provide insights for teams across the enterprise. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You’ll Do:
- Support companywide talent efforts across key areas such as talent acquisition, compensation, and attrition to drive decision-making.
- Build and maintain applications that integrate with agents to provide seamless user experiences.
- Support development from both a front end and backend perspective including Full Stack.
- Support the development of datasets for data products and other data stewards.
- Ensure that applications, agents, and data produced work harmoniously with existing systems and platforms.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance of agents and applications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, processes, and workflows.

You Have:
- 2+ years of experience with application development using Python or JavaScript frameworks, such as Flask, React, Angular, or Streamlit
- 2+ years of experience leveraging languages, such as Python, to access RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or to complete data relational tasks
- 2+ years of experience developing in source control systems, such as GitHub
- 1+ years of experience in DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, logging, and automated testing
- Experience using SQL for querying and manipulating data
- Experience working on and developing ETL pipelines, and ingesting data from external sources
- Ability to write and review code in front of other team members, and learn PySpark or Spark in Databricks
- Ability to translate technical results into clear insights and business recommendations for senior-level audiences, document work, and communicate product specs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems, and evaluate solutions holistically beyond the immediate technical problem to consider the broader organizational implications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Nice If You Have:
- Experience working with HRIS, ATS, Survey, or people-related datasets in Workday a plus
- Experience utilizing PySpark or Scala for large-scale data processing, and with Azure Databricks platform and notebooks
- Experience working in a data lake structure designing data tables for use on dashboards or applications
- Knowledge of employee lifecycle processes such as talent acquisition, talent development, workforce planning, and employee listening

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
