Radar Test Engineer

Key Role: 

Perform primary responsibilities related to the system integration, test, and early-use of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines. Support early use operations on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) radar system. Perform software testing on the DARC radar system. Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports. Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process. Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Support early use training on DARC radar system. Assist team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions. Participate in, prepare, and execute comprehensive system or element level test plans and procedures. Support system or element level test planning and test readiness reviews. Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system. Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete. Report to the system integration and test lead.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the development of software requirement verification procedures

  • Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with missile defense, space tracking, or satellite operations, Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with missile defense, space tracking, or satellite operations, Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience with missile defense, space tracking, or satellite operations, or Doctorate degree and 2+ years of experience with missile defense, space tracking, or satellite operations

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
