Defense Strategy Analyst

As a Defense Strategy Analyst, you will conduct high-level, independent analysis to support competition planning and examine military and technological trends over both the near and long term. Your work will require sensitivity to shifts in the competitive environment, including the strategies and goals of adversaries, competitors, and third-party nations. You will analyze critical factors such as military balances, contingency outcomes, and competitive positions.
You will be at the forefront of net assessments, wargame analysis, and contingency studies. Your expertise will guide the strategic decisions of senior Air Force leaders. You’ll also support the development of strategic initiatives through qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including statistical modeling, discourse analysis, and decision-analytic techniques.
Your role will require you to think critically and recommend actionable strategies that maintain U.S. superiority and enhance our global standing.

You Have:
10+ years of experience in research and analysis in national security and military intelligence, including in gray zone conflict, influence operations, and strategic intelligence integration
Experience supporting DoD and interagency decision-making through structured analysis, forecasting, and multi-source intelligence synthesis
Experience in coercive strategies, economic statecraft, and irregular threat assessment
Experience with analytical methodologies, including qualitative or quantitative methods, analytical statistical methods, and strategic assessments
Experience with military intelligence and assessment in the context of strategic decision-making
Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights for senior leaders
TS/SCI clearance
Doctorate degree in a Political Science, International Relations, Strategic Studies, or Intelligence Studies field
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
