The Opportunity:

As a logistics specialist, you know that every program relies on clearly defined and managed processes to work. You understand government systems and material specifications and know that using logistics principles is critical to ensuring mission success. We are looking for a logistics professional like you to join our team and keep the mission moving.

As a logistics specialist, you’ll order, track, store, and catalog parts, materials, and consumables used by other technicians and engineers in the execution of client requirements and perform duties as a support technician within the tool room. You’ll also be the focal point for Special Assignment Airlift Mission (SAAM) requests and ground transportation, where we will depend on your experience with multiple logistics systems, including Airlift Integrated System (A2I), Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES), Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Single Mobility System (SMS), and Logistics Tool Suite (LTS).

You Have

  • 4+ years of experience in the logistics field

  • Knowledge of AFMAN 23-122, Materials Management Procedures, and AFI 21-101 ACC supplement for Tool and Equipment Management

  • Knowledge of AFMAN 24-605V2 Air Transportation Operation, AFMAN 24-605V1 Passenger Movement, AFMAN 24-604 preparing hazardous materials for military air shipments, DAFI 24-602V2 Cargo Movement, DoD 4500.9R Defense Travel Regulation Part II and Part III

  • Ability to use 463L pallets, pallet trains, ISU, MB1, and MB2 chains and devices

  • Ability to acquire parts and materials using off-base vendors when the needed parts are not available through the Air Force parts ordering system

  • Ability to build a manifest of all parts, materials, tools, and equipment for shipment

  • Ability to track Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic (TMDE) equipment inspections, calibration, and test dates and turn-in and receive from the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) for calibration and test as required

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Air Force supply and logistics

  • Experience building and tracking aircraft modification kits

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Associate degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Transportation and Management

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
