As a SME Systems Architect on our team, you'll translate your customer’s future goals into a plan. With your guidance, we’ll help transform the way the customer uses existing and new technology including system migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. How You'll Contribute:

  • Plan, lead, and manage the design and development of solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems, network challenges, or system administration issues in support of critical SIE needs.

  • Incorporate engineering strategies for introducing new technology in the support of advanced data analytics using AI and ML into the customer's infrastructure.

  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and regression analysis to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions and make maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.

  • Apply knowledge to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensure that these are consistent with the enterprise technical architecture.

  • Collaborate with stakeholder and EOM technical teams to design and implement systems using big data solutions, strategies, architectural methodologies, and frameworks.

  • Analyze systems performance data from tools such as OS and application logs, Splunk, and RavenVision to inform optimization of the user experience.

  • Work with visualization specialist to ensure output is captured to help understand complex problems.

  • Perform tier four architecture and engineering support.

  • Develop and document the enterprise architecture and best practices and provide design and architectural recommendations for long-term and chronic problem resolution.

  • Troubleshoot enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on the network.

  • Ensure that the entire IT infrastructure meets operational needs.

  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement systems using big data solutions, strategies, architectural methodologies, and frameworks.

  • Influence changes to standards and procedures related to maturing the platform. Organize, consider, and develop solutions which align with high availability, security, and scalability expectations.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in network engineering experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Cisco Network Engineering

  • Experience with Cisco ACI or software defined networks

  • Experience with common security tool Cisco StealthWatch

  • Experience with network micro-segmentation

  • Ability to develop network flow diagrams for servers, software, and services

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • CCNA Certification

  • IAT Level II Certification

Nice if you have:

  • Ability to develop a Dataflow Mapping plan and SOP that discusses the purpose, objects, process, frequency, and how the ports, protocols, and associated traffic for each system and application will be documented

  • Ability to communicate in a detailed manner between other engineers, admins, and leads from various other sections

  • Possession of excellent oral, written, and documentation skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field

  • CCNP certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
