Job Description
- Rome, New York, USA
The Opportunity:
At a certain point, experience-based system design can start to look like clairvoyance. When you’ve developed so many systems that you can not only orchestrate the best solution for any technology-based challenge, but you can also anticipate and preempt future issues, you’re a solutions architect. You’ve evolved your skills into strategy through a long path of software development accomplishments and the curiosity to understand how all of the pieces of an IT ecosystem fit together. Are you ready to use your combination of knowledge, skill, and experience to take on the toughest challenges in developing blueprints for how data are made discoverable, move between sources, and support end-user needs?
As an Integrated Data Environment architect, you will design and implement frameworks that connect, manage, and streamline data across multiple, often disparate, systems. Unlike a traditional data architect focusing solely on storage, an IDE Architect creates a "system of systems" that allows for data to be accessed and synchronized across the entire organization, while breaking down silos and enabling the use of advanced analytics. On our team, you'll translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan by converting diverse data formats into a cohesive structure, ensuring data consistency. With your guidance, we’ll help transform the way the Air Force drives transformative change while modernizing legacy systems. And, what do you do next in a career where you’ve reached this level? You mentor the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow’s solutions architects.
Work with us and build the future of technology for the Advanced Battle Management System.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
5+ years of experience with metadata management and data cataloging tools
Experience bridging high-level business goals and technical engineering execution
Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence
Ability to convert diverse data formats into a cohesive structure to ensure data consistency
Ability to design end-to-end models for data consumption, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Data Science
Nice If You Have:
Experience supporting DoW, AF, or IC system-of-systems integration
Experience with business process mapping to design data flows that reflect business functions
Ability to understand and integrate stakeholders, leaders, IT teams, and external vendors data needs to ensure alignment on data initiatives
TS/SCI clearance
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Data Science
