Financial Analyst

As a financial analyst on our team, you will support the DoD objective to receive a clean financial audit opinion by 2028. You will assist the client staff with efforts to evaluate the operational design and effectiveness of internal controls for shipyard processes, programs, and systems. You will support the client in responding to internal and external audits, perform risk analysis on various business processes, and conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed. You will assist a client team of financial analysts, accountants, and budget analysts achieve their financial goals.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with the Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of War (DoW) or Department of the Navy (DON)

• 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel formulas, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting, data visualization, reconciliations, Power Query, and macros

• 5+ years of experience with historical comparative analysis of financial records

• 2+ years of experience performing financial statement audits, including internal control testing

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS)

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Relational Supply (RSupply) application, Advanced Analytics (ADVANA) or Jupiter, and SharePoint

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
