The Opportunity:
As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to evaluating hardware security implementation in embedded electronics. We are looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to support our clients by creating new tools and capabilities.
We need you, an electrical engineer, with an understanding of embedded system design, mobile platforms and architecture, and hardware security concepts to help us design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices.
On our team, you will be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to do the impossible and recover data that may be deleted. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in range of embedded systems development and testing while broadening your skillset into areas like advanced side-channel analysis, hardware-backed security components, and reverse engineering.

You Have:
3+ years of experience with software development in C, C++, or Python
3+ years of experience with software, firmware, and hardware Reverse Engineering
3+ years of experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, JTAG or SW debuggers
3+ years of experience designing and programming microcontroller or FPGA boards to monitor or communicate with internal buses
3+ years of experience using IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverse engineering
Knowledge of ARM architecture and assembly language
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in EE or Computer Engineering
Nice If You Have:
Experience with cryptography
Master's degree in EE or Computer Engineering
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
