Software Architect, Lead

The Opportunity:

At a certain point, software design can start to look like clairvoyance. You’ve developed so many organization-wide software architectures that you can orchestrate the best solution for any technical challenge and anticipate future concerns.

On our team, develop solution architecture (SA) and resolve complex issues in various projects through the implementation of requirements analysis, expertise support, and project supervision. You will apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, or full industry knowledge. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You will maintain knowledge of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) principles and ensure product alignment to requirements. You'll work without considerable direction. Finally, you will mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience in a software engineering leadership role
  • Experience with .NET
  • Experience with successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
  • Experience with developing applications in both Linux and Windows OS
  • Experience with container technology, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Windows Containers
  • Experience with endpoint technologies, including Bitlocker, user profiles, registries, certificate stores, UEFI, and networking
  • Experience with configuring Hyper-V virtual machines and virtual networking
  • Experience with Linux endpoints, including package management, bash scripting, and network configuration
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with advanced Windows 10 features, including Kiosk Mode, Unified Write Filters, and Windows Defender integration
  • Experience with endpoint security, enterprise mobility, and mobile or wireless products
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile or DevOps
  • Knowledge of networking principles, including DNS, DHCP, PKI, Certificates, VPN, IPSec, or SSL
  • Ability to think strategically and make sound technical decisions
  • Ability to be well-organized
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent collaboration and leadership skills
  • Experience with writing documentation
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
