Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

Key Role:

Aid in the completion of the day-to-day activities of Booz Allen’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. Liaise with various colleagues, executive leaders, and other stakeholders to implement risk management processes and maintain an effective Enterprise Risk Management program. Assist in preparing risk management reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors. Supports Enterprise Risk & Resilience leadership in the development and maintenance of risk frameworks, including overall risk appetite and risk tolerance parameters, to enable achievement of strategic priorities for the firm and help firm leaders navigate risks and enable smart risk-taking. Assist with risk monitoring and trend analysis to support proactive risk management such as emerging risks and key risk indicators. Utilize industry best practices and technical and enterprise risk subject matter expertise to continuously improve processes to optimize risk governance and enable effective risk identification, assessment, prioritization, response, and monitoring of the most critical risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the firm. Works independently to review large amounts of content to ensure high quality and accuracy and submits deliverables in a timely manner. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with project management
  • 3+ years of experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) including ERM strategies and best practices
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, or an open-source version of these apps
  • Experience working with managers to conduct risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends
  • Experience in collaborating across all levels of an organization and building partnerships across various functions
  • Ability to apply communication expertise to convey meaningful insights to complex issues and explain findings to teammates and executives
  • Ability to apply excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including analyzing problems, conducting research, evaluating options for action, and providing thoughtful recommendations at a strategic level
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity to provide recommendations to solve business problems
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting role
  • Knowledge of risk-related governance frameworks such as COSO, ISO 31000
  • Knowledge of government contracting industry
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and senior level engagement
  • Ability to learn new technologies and risk management approaches, and identify process improvements and efficiencies
  • Possession of strong organizational skills
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA PM Level III Certification a plus
  • Professional risk management certification a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
