COVID-19 EMPLOYMENT VACCINATION GUIDANCE
February 7, 2022 – To support the needs of our people to connect and collaborate, together with those of our business as a federal contractor, we’ve made several key decisions to meet new U.S. government requirements that allow us to protect our collective well-being and safely reopen our physical spaces.
Effective January 4, 2022 all Booz Allen employees including those who have previously contracted COVID-19, those outside the U.S. (except where prohibited by country-specific laws) and those in our Global Commercial business, are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
We are closely monitoring the legal challenges to the Executive Order. To be clear, the firm's vaccination requirement is independent of any Executive Order. Booz Allen is requiring a final dose of a coronavirus vaccine for all employees as a condition of employment (unless an employee has an approved or in-process accommodation, or state-specific exemption).
Exceptions to this policy will be granted to those with a firm-approved medical or religious accommodation. This requirement follows guidance from the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force about new federal vaccine requirements for large employers and federal contractors.
Requiring vaccinations continues our policy of using the best defenses against COVID-19 to enable us to return to full business operations. Vaccination is the most effective means available to limit transmission, protect against serious illness and death, and, ultimately, return to a normal way of life.
While we encourage everyone who is currently eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot to get theirs, you are considered fully vaccinated and compliant with the firm’s vaccination requirement if you received your final dose of a coronavirus vaccine (e.g., your second dose of Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech or your first dose of Johnson & Johnson).
Booz Allen also plays a part as a corporate citizen in building protection and fighting the pandemic in our communities. By requiring vaccination, we will help our communities thrive and safely return to work, school, and other important life activities.

Out of an abundance of caution and care, Booz Allen is conducting virtual interviews. Leveraging technology is key at Booz Allen and a virtual platform gives you the opportunity to talk about your experiences, ask questions, and engage in conversations with the problem solvers and strategic innovators of our company. While this way of interviewing may not be something you’re used to, we’re here to help guide you through the process and we want to assure you this won’t impact your candidacy in any way.
